The Bungendore Brigade says a big thank you to the Bungendore Country muster for their ongoing support. Each year the Brigade helps out with parking at the Annual Country Music Festival and we are always appreciative of their support in return.
Twitter has today launched the "Twitter Alerts" service in Australia in Partnership with a number of emergency services nationally including the NSW RFS. This service allows a user to subscribe to a particular channel who can then push messages as special alerts either as notifications or text messages. Alert messages are also specially highlighted in the users feed to ensure they stand out.
The NSW RFS has published the 2012/13 Annual report - click through to read.
Thanks to EstateRealty Palerang. This will be a major update to how we are able to pass highly accurate data on fire behaviour, water sources and safe refuges between vehicles, other brigades and our control centre. This data flow means individual trucks will be able to access near real time information on incidents, giving them much greater situational awareness and reducing errors that occur through radio traffic.
