On Sunday November 23, around midday, we responded three vehicles to a reported fire at the Bungendore Tip. On arrival we found a part of the general refuse section well alight and creating a large column of black smoke.
Our heavy tankers, Bungendore 1 & 2 set to suppression with the help of council heavy machinery and our #ChristmasCannon foam branch. Our light tanker, Bungendore 7, patrolled the nearby area to ensure embers carried by the smoke and wind didn't set off a second fire.
