"A vigorous frontal system will cross New South Wales during Monday. Northwesterly winds will strengthen during the day, with gales developing about the Alpine peaks from late morning, then higher parts of the Snowy Mountains, Southern Ranges and ACT during the afternoon. Snow will also develop over the Alpine areas in the west of the Snowy Mountains district during Monday afternoon and evening, leading to blizzard conditions."
